F/V Equity, W.side of Prince of Wales Isl, SE Alaska

Early Friday morning, Dec. 14, Sector Juneau called the NOAA SSC to report that the 42 ft. F/V Equity sank between Heceta and Emerald Islands on the w. side of Prince of Wales Island in SE Alaska with 400 gallons of diesel on board in roughly 270' of water. The three crewmen were successfully recovered NOAA was asked for a trajectory and a resources at risk evaluation for a worst case discharge of the entire 400 gallons, although none had been confirmed release when the CG reported the incident.
